Returns & Refunds Policy

TaraHerbal UK

Last updated: 24 October 2026

At TaraHerbal, we aim to provide quality products and reliable customer service. This policy explains your rights when cancelling orders, returning products or requesting refunds.

This policy applies to UK consumer orders placed through www.taraherbal.co.uk. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

1. Change-of-Mind Returns

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, customers generally have the right to cancel an eligible online purchase without giving a reason.

You have 14 calendar days from receiving your goods to notify us that you wish to cancel. Where an order is delivered in separate instalments, the period generally starts when you receive the final instalment.

After informing us of your decision to cancel, you have a further 14 calendar days to send the goods back.

You can notify us through our Contact Us page or by telephone. Please include your order number where possible.

2. Return Postage Costs

Change-of-mind returns: Customers are responsible for paying the direct cost of return postage, as disclosed before purchase.

We recommend using a tracked postal or courier service and retaining proof of postage.

Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods: Where a return is necessary under your statutory rights, TaraHerbal will cover reasonable return costs. Please contact us so we can arrange an appropriate return method.

We do not charge restocking or administration fees for exercising statutory cancellation rights.

3. Returning Products

Please handle goods carefully and return them securely packaged.

Customers may inspect products as they reasonably would in a shop.

Where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, we may make a lawful deduction for any resulting loss in value.

Original packaging is recommended but is not automatically required to exercise statutory cancellation rights.

These conditions do not limit your rights regarding faulty or misdescribed goods.

4. Products Excluded from Change-of-Mind Cancellation

Certain products may be legally excluded from change-of-mind cancellation, including:

  • Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
  • Goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
  • Sealed goods genuinely unsuitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed.

These exceptions apply only where the relevant legal requirements are satisfied. They do not automatically exclude all foods, cosmetics, supplements or herbal products.

Your statutory rights remain protected if goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.

5. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

If you receive faulty, damaged or incorrect goods, please contact us with your order details.

Customers generally have a 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods, measured from delivery, subject to the applicable statutory rules.

After this period, customers may be entitled to repair, replacement, price reduction or a refund depending on the circumstances.

Where the relevant legal conditions apply, faults arising within the first six months are presumed to have existed at delivery unless the trader establishes otherwise.

Statutory rights may continue beyond six months.

We will provide the appropriate remedy and bear reasonable return costs where legally required.

6. Refund Amounts

For an eligible cancellation of an entire order, we will refund:

  • The price paid for the cancelled goods.
  • The original standard delivery charge, where applicable.

If you selected a more expensive delivery service, such as express delivery, we generally only have to refund the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered.

For partial order cancellations, any delivery-charge refund will be determined according to the applicable legal requirements.

For ordinary change-of-mind returns, the customer pays return postage as explained in Section 2.

7. Refund Processing Times

For eligible cancellations involving returned goods, refunds will be issued without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier.

Where goods are not being returned, we will refund within the applicable statutory deadline, generally 14 days after being informed of cancellation.

Refunds will normally be made through the original payment method, unless you expressly agree otherwise.

We do not charge refund-processing fees.

Refunds for faulty goods will be handled within the applicable statutory deadlines.

8. How to Return Your Order

To return an item:

  1. Contact TaraHerbal and notify us of your cancellation or product problem.
  2. Provide your order number and details of the items you wish to return, where possible.
  3. Package the goods securely.
  4. Send the parcel to our returns address within the applicable deadline.
  5. Retain proof of postage.
